Afternoon at the Arboretum

It is absolutely gorgeous outside today, so I couldn't resist...I picked Hannah up early from school and we went to the Arboretum. The girls had so much fun playing in the flowers and Hannah just ran wild in the field. She took her shoes off and said, "Mommy, I'm going to run in the cold, green grass!"

So many pictures, but honestly...something's wrong with me...I can't ever pick just a few!!

Weekend with Cousin Carter

My girls ADORE their Cousin Carter!!! Hannah is on the verge of obsessed and Alice Anne likes having a playmate her own size around. Carter teaches innocent little Alice Anne how to get into things and make a mess when she eats! To say that the kiddos had a fun weekend is an understatement. They had a blast together!!

Flight Museum

The Starrs were for the weekend and had big plans to go to the Arboretum after the babies morning nap today, but the weather was so gross. Brett came up with going to the Flight Museum. He said that he heard it's a fun place for kids. Really?? The 1st 30 minutes of our museum "tour", Sarah and I were rolling our eyes and whispering that the boys used the rain as an excuse for them to get to see some vintage aircrafts. Nothing in there looked fun for kids that we were with!! But, on my way to take Hannah to the potty, we ran into the huge kid area. Hannah yelled, "Mommy, I see a huge playroom!" She forgot that she had to go potty and ran back in the other room to get everyone else. The kids loved it and it really was a good place for kids...good pick, Daddy!!! Shoot, why didn't we know about this place a couple of months ago when Hannah was dying to ride on an airplane? We totally could have taken her here instead of putting her on a real plane and flying to San Antonio!!

Funny Things Hannah Says

Hannah had us laughing tonight. She says the funniest things!

While eating dinner tonight, we told her she needed to eat her zucchini. Her response was, "I no want to eat the zoo candy. It's yucky candy!!"

I asked Hannah to put her books up before bedtime and she chose to ignore me. I said, "Hannah are you obeying mommy?" Her response was, "I'm not a babying mommy." She kept saying, "mommy, I a babying mommy."

During Hannah's bath tonight, Brett was teaching her about sink/float. He was throwing things in the bath and asking her if they sank or float. Some of the things he threw in was a penny, nickel and a quarter. Hannah scooped the 3 coins up, help them in her hand tightly, stood up in the tub and yelled, "I'M RICH, I'M RICH!!!"

Last night I asked Hannah if she needed to go to the potty. She very seriously said, "Mommy, I've already used the potty WAY too many times today. Don't ask me anymore."

Hannah was telling Brett about her day today. She said, "Daddy, I played with a little boy today. Daddy, he was wild!"

If we're ever having a bad day, we just have to have a conversation with Hannah to make us laugh!! LOVE her age!!!

Playtime

It was so pretty outside today, but Alice Anne's allergies are so bad and she woke up with a really runny nose, so we camped out in the playroom all day.

EVERYTHING goes in the mouth!! Please, Please, Please hurry up and come in, teeth!!! They're making my sweet baby crazy and about to make me crazier!!!
