So Much to be Thankful For

We had a great Thanksgiving here at home. All of Brett's family came and it was great to see everyone. I was a little nervous about making my 1st turkey and dressing, but I think it turned out OK. Hannah especially had so much fun showing off for everyone and she is still talking about Gigi sleeping in her room...she thought that was so cool! It was a good 1st Thanksgiving for Alice Anne. She had a bad diaper rash but we got it under control and it is healed now.

We have so much to be thankful for. Our 2 sweet little girls are more than we could ever ask for. We wouldn't trade them for the world!

Pretty Uneventful Weekend

This weekend was pretty uneventful! It was nice to not have anything going on and just be able to play with the kiddos.

Hannah wanted to show daddy the ducks, turtles and "wawa" at Northpark.

And of course we made several trips to the park. Check out this face!! She's trying so hard to be brave!!!

Here are a couple of pics of the Little Miss. And, take note that this dress is a size 12 month that Hannah wore last year!!! I mean, this little one has some rolls...and I must say they are the cutest little rolls I've ever laid eyes on!

What's Your Name?

So, we took the whole family out today and did a little shopping. Hannah decided that to keep herself entertained, she wanted to find out what EVERYONE'S name was!! It was so funny!
She would approach every single person that would slightly even look at her and say, "What's your name lady/man? My name Hannah. She Ayice Anne (and she'd point to Alice Anne)" She would then proceed to sing them either the ABC's or The Itsy Bitsy Spider (with the hand motions). Needless to say, our little toddler is FAR from shy!

What Have I Done to Deserve This???

What is going on in this house this morning? Everyone woke up in the best mood!!!

Alice Anne laid in her bed (after sleeping ALL night) and just talked until I went and got her up. Hannah woke up and gave me the biggest bear hug ever and said "I yuv you mommy. I had deam (dream) you"!!

After breakfast, Hannah said, "I go upstairs." No come on mommy or anything! She never does this!!! She has been upstairs for 45 minutes reading books and singing songs. I think she forgot I was here. It is the cutest thing. AND, Alice Anne is asleep in her bouncy seat. I am actually dressed with make-up on and don't look homeless for once!

Oh, and the best thing...both girls have already had dirty diapers!! Sad that I'm excited about that, but that is one less thing for me to worry about today.

What have I done to deserve this? I REALLY need to go to the grocery store asap but don't want to put an end to this wonderful day that I have going.

A Sick Baby with a Sweet Big Sister

Poor little Alice Anne has had a little stomach bug the last 2 days. Her big sister has been so sweet to her...singing songs to her, giving her kisses and reading her books. Everytime Hannah sings "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star", Alice Anne gets a big smile on her face. It brings tears to my eyes seeing how much they love each other already!!
Kisses!!!!

Listening to a 2 Year-Old Talk

Listening to a 2 year-old's conversations will almost always make you laugh!
We had just dropped daddy off at the airport this morning and the sun was really bright and in Hannah's eyes. Here's how the conversation went...

Hannah: Stop it sun!!!!
Mommy: Hannah, what's wrong?
Hannah: SUN, Stop it! Go away! No, sun! Go away wite now!
Mommy: Is the sun making you mad?
Hannah: Sun, no ma'am sun! Dis your wanning (warning)! No, Sun!!

And this went on and on!! It was hilarious!!!

Bathtime Tradition

It has become a tradition that if Brett is home in the evenings, Hannah gets "Bubbles Daddy" (i.e.-Daddy gives Hannah a bubble bath). She talks about it all day long and LOVES it!!! Recently, she started getting really upset when daddy is out of town and she can't get bubbles daddy. So, I had to come up with something that she would think was fun, to get her to willingly take a bath. I decided that if daddy's out of town, Hannah can "give" Alice Anne a bath. She thinks it's pretty cool. It's not AS fun as bubbles daddy, but at least she gets clean...without a fight!!

Silly Hannah!!!

All Dressed Up with Nowhere To Go

"Dress-up" is a favorite pastime in the Belf household...for Hannah at least. But she is going to make sure that her little sister enjoys it too.

Such a little trooper!!!

Princess Hannah!

She has always loved playing with my headbands, bracelets, necklaces and shoes!

If you ever drop by our house, there's no telling what you'll find us in...

My Girls

My 2 little girls complete me. I can't imagine life without them. They make my life interesting and make me strive to be the best person I can be.

Hannah - My oldest little princess. She is such a fun, loving little toddler who makes me laugh all day long!! Like every almost 2-year old, she has her moments, but for the most part is always happy and ready to play. She is "mommy's helper" and LOVES being the big sister! She adores her baby sister and has never had a moment of jealousy.

Alice Anne - My baby!! Imagine a perfect baby girl--it would be Alice Anne. She is the sweetest, most laid back little one you'll ever meet. Her little toothless smile melts my heart and her laugh makes me laugh. I never get tired of kissing her little toes and squeezing her MANY rolls on her thighs. She gets a kick out of watching her silly big sister.

Here We Go...

I'm going to give this a shot...I've been wanting to do this for a long time but never could get it together. My hope is to do this for my girls to try to capture moments of their life that I'll want to remember. Here we go...
