Bedtime Fun

Hannah LOVES going in with me to get Alice Anne up...and Alice Anne is just as excited to see her big sister! Hannah always wants to get in bed with Alice Anne and they would play in bed all morning long if I let them. They are so cute and sweet to each other. They hug and laugh at each other and Hannah likes pretending she's a baby to make Alice Anne laugh. I love watching them together!

Hannah was so funny. After I got them out of the baby bed, my camera was on the floor and I was sitting in the rocker feeding Alice Anne. Hannah brought my camera over to me and said, "Mommy, take my picture. I look at you and smile cheese!" She then went and sat in the rocker and jumped up real fast and frantically said, "WAIT, Mommy...I need an animal!" as she went and dug in the toy basket for the perfect animal. She found the animal she wanted and went back and sat in the rocker and said, "OK mommy, my ready."

This was a hard picture for me to take, because, without going into details, Hannah was sitting on the potty having a hard time. But, what I was actually trying to capture was so sweet...her head was in her lap on her blankies, but when I walked in, she popped her head up.

Happy Easter

We had a fabulous Easter weekend! Hannah had a BLAST and although Alice Anne's teeth will not poke through and are giving her such a hard time, she was along for every ride! Papa, Jammy and Granny came yesterday afternoon. The girls got lots of play time and then Hannah had an Easter egg hunt out in the front yard. The girl did GOOD!! She's an easter egg hunting pro!! She was so sweet and happy to share her eggs with her little sister. Uncle Les and Jennifer came by to join in on the fun and we all went for a good dinner at Fernando's.

This morning we all went to church. Brett and I love our church and were so glad to stay in town and get to go for the Easter service. Grandpop, Gigi, Aunt Bekah and Tim were at our house when we got home from church and we all had a big Easter dinner here. While we were eating lunch, the Easter bunny came, and Hannah and Alice Anne scored again!!

Such a fun weekend. The girls were exhausted tonight. One of my favorite times of the day is bedtime because I get one-on-one cuddle time with my girls. Tonight was perfect. Brett and Hannah were at the park when it was Alice Anne's bedtime, so I got extra cuddle time. She stared in my eyes and stroked my face for the longest time as I rocked her. I just stared back at her and told her over and over how much I love her. I watched her eyes roll in the back of her head and she drifted off to sleep. I couldn't put the sweet baby girl down. I rocked her for the longest time and just watched her in the most peaceful sleep. When it was time for Hannah to go to bed, I laid in her bed and we sang songs and did our usual routine. When we finished, she said, "I love you SOOO much mommy. Sleep with me." How could I resist! I laid there with her and stroked her hair and in a couple of minutes, she was out!! I couldn't have asked for a better night!! I have the sweetest little girls imaginable!!

Easter Eggs and a BIG Lollipop

Hannah was SO excited to go to school today for her school Easter egg hunt. She had the best time and was so proud to show off the eggs that she found.

A couple of weeks ago I was at the mall and saw this lollipop in the window of the candy store. I had to get it and I pulled it out this afternoon for Hannah. Her jaw dropped when she saw it and she couldn't get her hands on it fast enough. She mainly just stared at it, proud that it was hers. She obviously didn't get to eat all of it...after about 15 minutes I explained that the lollipop needed to go inside and take a nap. I made sure to hide it where she WILL NOT find it until I'm ready to pull it out again.

She would not take her eyes off of the squirrel up in the tree...she was so afraid that he was going to come get her lollipop!

Potty Time!!

Hannah has been in panties and accident free for 3+ days now!!! WooHoo!!! She is very excited about it and very proud. We visited the Costco bathroom THREE times yesterday and had to check-out the bathroom at the neighborhood mexican restaurant, too. But, the BIG news is that she wore her panties to school today! We talked about it a lot yesterday and let her decide if she wanted to wear a diaper or panties to school. She very quickly decided that she wanted to do the panties. I was a little worried because none of the other kids in her class are potty trained and I didn't want this to discourage her. But, she was excited to show everyone Elmo and I had a hard time keeping her pants up in the hallway at school b/c she honestly wanted to show everyone she saw!! When I picked her up this afternoon, she had stickers on her shirt and the same clothes on that I dropped her off in...NO ACCIDENTS!!! I'm so proud of her!

Easter Bunny House

Katy dropped Ava off early this morning and she spent the morning over here until her granddad came to pick her up for the weekend while Katy and David are in Laguna Beach...I'm so jealous!!

It was wild around here all morning with 3 girls but we had a lot of fun!! Apparently, Alice Anne heard the 2 older girls having too much fun and decided that she wanted to play instead of nap. Hannah and Ava had a blast making the Easter Bunny's Gingerbread House and they had even more fun trying to sneak the candy in their mouths when they thought I wasn't looking :)

So funny...Alice Anne grabbed ALL of the turkey off of Hannah and Ava's plate when I was fixing their lunch. She munched on it for a long time and loved every bite of it!
